**EDIT: The September Charity Box sale has been postponed to coincide with the October Charity Box sale.
Hello! Today I’m here with swatches and a review of four polishes that will be available at this month’s Charity Box collab sale.
The Charity Box is a monthly collab that donates a portion of sales to a selected charity of the month. The shop follows a preorder style setup, and this month the shop will be open from September 9th at 12pm CST to September 18th at 10pm CST on the Charity Box site. This month’s theme is Tea Party, and funds raised through sales will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Without further ado, let’s get into the swatches!
BCB Lacquers: Magic Pea-Tea
Magic Pea-Tea is described as a deep violet purple with tons of blue, pink and purple micro-flakes and pink shimmer. It is inspired by Butterfly Tea Flowers.
Magic Pea-Tea had a slightly thinner formula, but it doesn’t run or pool. The final finish is metallic feeling, and the shade is also a bit more purple than blue like in my photos.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Magic Pea-Tea will be available for $13 with a cap of 100.
Jen & Berries: Here for the Macarons
Here for the Macarons is described as a pale aqua crelly with blue/purple shifty shimmer, holographic navy, pink & light blue glitter.
Here for the Macarons had a smooth and easy to work with formula where you don’t need to fish for some of the slightly larger glitters. I recommend going for thinner coats to have better glitter depth. The blue/purple shimmer is a lot more apparent in person than in my photos, and I also didn’t need to use a glitter smoothing top coat.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Here for the Macarons will be available for $12 with a cap of 75.
Nailed It: It’s Par-TEA Time!
It’s Par-TEA time! is described as a neon green jelly base with pinky/violet/gold crystal flakies, a subtle pink to gold shifting shimmer, and holo flakies. It is inspired by the teacup ride in Animal Crossing.
It’s Par-TEA Time! is really packed with flakes, but had a smooth and even application. The polish dries a bit flat, so I recommend using a glossy top coat.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
It’s Par-TEA Time! will be available for $13.00 with a cap of 200.
Wildflower Lacquer: Tea Time with Barbie
Tea Time with Barbie is described as a neon magenta jelly base packed with orange pink purple crystal flakes.
Tea Time with Barbie was very packed with flakes, but the flakes lie flat so you don’t need to worry about being too intentional about layering. I recommend going a bit thicker with your coats to build up the flakie depth and also get a more opaque base.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Tea Time with Barbie will be available for $13 with no cap.
Thank you so much for reading!
XOXO,
Lauren
