Glisten & Glow: Fall Holos 2021

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! Today I’m here with the upcoming Glisten & Glow Fall Holos collection. The collection launches on the Glisten & Glow site on September 17 at 7pm ET, and will retail for $11.50 each or $40 as a set. This set is limited edition, meaning only one batch has been made and polishes won’t be restocked once they sell out – get them while you can!

This quad had me feeling some kind of way – I came up with four nail art designs, and I haven’t done that much nail art with any collection in forever. I’m super ready for all the fall color palettes, and this one is no exception!

All swatches are shown with a coat of Glisten & Glow’s Quick Dry Top Coat. Let’s get into these pretties.

Fall Aboard

Fall Aboard is described as a tomato red holo polish with added holo micro-flakes.

Fall Aboard had a great formula – very smooth and opaque. It lies slightly on the thinner side, but it’s not runny and with a slightly thicker coat you might even be able to get away with one coat. The formula is a jelly-like holo, and it dries glossy.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is described as a burnt orange holo polish with added holo micro-flakes.

This polish was quite opaque on the first coat, but I went for two to deepen the color. It had a smooth formula, and I was surprised at how well the polish complimented my undertones as I tend to stay away from oranges. Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice also dries glossy.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

For the Love of Gourd

For the Love of Gourd is described as a harvest yellow holo polish with added holo micro-flakes.

Compared to the previous two, For the Love of Gourd was less opaque, but it was still fully opaque for me in two coats. Again, a smooth formula that dries glossy. The polish is a little bit warmer in tone than shown in my photos.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Leaf Me Alone

Leaf Me Alone is described as a medium green holo polish with added holo micro-flakes.

Leaf Me Alone, like all the others, had a smooth formula that dries glossy. The color deepened a lot for me in the second coat, and the final tone is a bit more yellow-leaning/less cool-toned than in my photos.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Nail Art

And now for the super fun stuff – here are three bonus nail art looks featuring Fall Aboard, Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice, and For the Love of Gourd as bases, in that order. For some of the looks, I included a few intermediate snapshots to show how I evolved the look at every step!

I hope you all enjoy these gorgeous fall holos as much as I did, and thanks for reading!

XOXO,

Lauren
