Hello, and welcome to a spooktacular post! I have swatches and a review of Glisten & Glow’s Halloween Quad for 2021 today, and this is a set you won’t want to miss.
The quad goes live on the Glisten & Glow website on October 8 at 7pm ET, and polishes will retail $10 individually or $35 as a set. Polishes range from crellies to holos to shimmers – we have them all. My swatches were topped with Glisten & Glow’s top coat. Let’s get into it!
Ahead of the Carve
Ahead of the Carve is described as a vibrant orange polish with color shifting shimmers from red/green/gold.
Ahead of the Carve was very opaque for a orange jelly-like shimmer polish. The formula was smooth, but I did have a little bit of nail line showing at two coats so went for three.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Mummy of the Year
Mummy of the Year is described as a white based crelly with added glitters in brown, copper and orange.
Mummy of the Year was quite densely packed with glitters, but evenly dispersed as well. I didn’t need to shake the bottle at all, and the polish wasn’t too thick considering all the elements. The base itself is a bit grey tinted, likely reflecting from the glitters.
Shown is two coats plus one coat of Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber, and then one coat of glossy top coat.
Scare Way to Heaven
Scare Way to Heaven is described as a deep purple holo polish with color shifting shimmers from blue/aqua/purple and holo micro flakes.
Scare Way to Heaven was super opaque, practically a one coater, with a smooth formula. I thought it was more of a blue than purple polish, but either way the color deepens much more at the second coat. The polish dries very glossy and reflective.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Witch Way to the Candy
Witch Way to the Candy is described as a black holo polish with added holo mircoflakes.
This polish was absolutely insane with opacity – I only needed one coat. The holo pops very well, and I recommend pairing the polish with a good base coat since it’s so opaque.
Shown is one coat plus glossy top coat.
I hope you’re ready for more fall and Halloween themed posts! Thank you so much for reading.
XOXO,
Lauren
