Hello! Today I’ll be sharing polishes available during the November Polish Pickup, which will be open for pre-order on their site from November 5 at 11am ET to November 8 at 11:59pm ET. Polish Pickup is a monthly collab shop where makers get together and create products, typically nail polish, inspired by a theme.
I have 13 polishes to share with you today, so let’s get into it!
BCB Lacquers: A-Musing
A-Musing is described as a teal green that shifts green/blue/gold with holo. It is inspired by the game Muse.
A-Musing had a smooth formula that was not too thick or thin. A-Musing feels like green sister to Nyx, which was BCB’s PPU from last month, and I’ll also note that the polish is a bit more green in person than it is in my photos.

Cupcake Polish: Dream Phone
Dream Phone is described as a glowy magenta to indigo duochrome nail polish. It is inspired by the 90’s teen favorite game Dream Phone.
Dream Phone had an amazingly smooth formula. I went for three coats to strengthen the shimmer and because I felt like I had a few patchy spots. The shimmer in indirect lighting is absolutely gorgeous – I tried to capture the magenta shift as much as possible.

Dreamland Lacquer: It’s a Mystery
It’s a Mystery is described as a black (cold) to teal/turquoise (warm) thermal polish filled with iridescent flakies that shift from green to blue to purple. It is inspired by the game Mysterium.
It’s a Mystery was slightly patchy on the first coat, but afterwards self-leveled and strengthened in opacity quite well. The flakes come out easily and evenly, and like most thermals the polish dries a bit flat so I recommend a glossy top coat. The thermal is also super reactive!

Glisten & Glow: On Thin Ice
On Thin Ice is described as a icy powder blue polish loaded with color shifting shimmers that shift from orange/red/yellow/green. It is inspired by the game Thin Ice.
On Thin Ice had a smooth formula, and the shimmer in the polish is very strong. It also dries glossy, and I think I’m obsessed with this base color and shimmer combination – it’s so elegant and gorgeous.

Glisten & Glow: Glitter Grabber
Glisten & Glow brings us their popular Glitter Grabber for IPU this month. Glitter Grabber is an amazing product that gets applied after any
glitter or flakie dense manicure is done and it’s fully dry and before your top coat. It aids in creating a smoother surface for your top coat or matte top coat all while “grabbing” that extra texture!
I have a few collages that show the difference between having and not having one coat of Glitter Grabber (spolier alert, the difference is huge). Glitter Grabber is an insane game changer for those that love textured glitter polishes, and I can personally attest to that.

Jen & Berries: Yes, My Gatekeeper
Yes, My Gatekeeper is described as a purple polish with blue/purple/pink shimmer, aqua flecks and holographic flakies. It is inspired by Nightmare, the VCR board game.
Yes, My Gatekeeper had a very smooth and self-leveling formula. The shimmer is really strong, and the polish dries with no brush strokes. My swatches lean significantly more blue than what the polish is like in real life – it definitely has a purple base with blue shifts and is quite vibrant.

Kathleen & Co: King Me
King Me is described as a red crelly base with black flakes. It is inspired by Checkers.
King Me had a very jelly-like formula, and the formula was incredibly smooth and easy to work with. The flakes come out with medium density, and are even and flat on the nail.

Lilypad Lacquer: Hungry Hippo
Hungry Hippo is described as a minty blue crelly with red to orange to green to blue shifting flakes. It is inspired by its namesake game, Hungry Hippo.
Hungry Hippo had medium to high flake density, and the base was surprisingly opaque for a bright turquoise. Like most flakie polishes, I recommend going for thinner coats and building the polish up in three coats.

Nailed It: Blitzball
Blitzball is described as a is a gold to green shifting magnetic with indigo aurora and copper/green crystal flakies. It is inspired by the Besaid Aurochs of Final Fantasy.
Blitzball had a very smooth formula and easy magnetic pull to work with. This is probably one of the best magnetic lines I’ve accomplished in a while, so enjoy the photos! The magnetic line contrast is quite stunning.

Rogue Lacquer: Cluedo
Cluedo is described as an emerald green holo with a gold to green shifting shimmer and scattered holo flake. It is inspired by Cluedo, the original UK version of Clue.
Cluedo had an amazingly smooth formula that was very opaque on the first coat. The shimmer pops really well, and the polish also self-levels well.

Rogue Lacquer: Rainbow Road
Rainbow Road is described as a rainbow mettalic flake topper with holo and black flakes scattered in. It is inspired by the classic Rainbow Road in Mario Kart.
Rainbow Road had a great formula – the flakes lie flat and come out in really even mix. It’s also dense enough that you can build it up on its own.
Shown is one coat over a slate blue, and then three coats on its own all topped with glossy top coat.

Sassy Cats Lacquer: We Are The Superstar
We Are The Superstar is described as an olive base with red copper green shifting aurora. It is inspired by Mario Party.
We Are The Superstar had a jelly-like formula, and the shimmer is quite strong although it appears more subtle in my photos. I recommend building the polish up in medium-thin coats.

Supermoon Lacquer: Foresaken
Foresaken is described as a dark bronze base filled with orange-to-green and red-to-gold color shifting shimmer; gold, red, and white shimmer; copper and silver/white sparks; light gold and rose pearl microflakies; holographic microflakies; iridescent gold flakes; orange-to-gold color changing flakes; iridescent red/green, holographic copper and gold, and metallic copper microglitter. It is inspired by the RPG game the Werewolf.
Foresaken had a slightly thicker formula due to all the elements, but the polish evens out well and is quite opaque even on the first coat. It also dries flat, so I recommend pairing it with a glossy top coat.
