Hello! In this post I’ll be sharing my swatches of the Glisten & Glow January 2022 releases! Glisten & Glow will be releasing their Love Songs Trio Volume 2 and 41st Birthday Polish on January 14 at 7pm ET on the Glisten & Glow site.
The 41st Birthday polish – 41 & Feelin’ It – will be available to purchase individually or through the 41 & Feelin’ It Bundle, which includes Glisten & Glow’s top coat, Glitter Grabber and the 41 & Feelin’ It polish. The bundle will be available for $22 – it saves you $3.25!
The Love Songs Trio Volume 2 will be available for $32 or $11 individually.
I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into it!
41 & Feelin’ It
41 & Feelin’ It is described as a black jelly polish filled with a rainbow of color shreds.
41 & Feelin’ It had flakes that were big and dense, which led to some of them not lying very flat. My second coat was a lot clunkier with the flakes, and not all were super flat once they layered. I had to press some to lie a bit flatter, and I definitely needed to pair this polish with Glitter Grabber. I will say that despite the slightly more difficult application, the polish looks really cool once smoothed over.
Shown is two coats plus one coat of Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber, followed by glossy top coat.
Love Songs Trio Vol. 2
Can’t Help Falling in Love
Can’t Help Falling in Love is described as a red jelly polish loaded with red to gold to green to blue color shifting aurora shimmers.
Can’t Help Falling in Love had a very smooth and even formula.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
I’ll Stand By You
I’ll Stand by You is described as a purple based jelly polish loaded with smaller red glitters and red holo glitters.
I’ll Stand By You had a very smooth and jelly-like formula, with its glitters even and dense. Two coats was fine for opacity but three was better for color buildup. The polish also doesn’t dry that thirsty, so I didn’t need to use a glitter grabbing top coat.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Unchained Melody
Unchained Melody is described as a clear based polish loaded with color shifting chrome flakes that shift from purple to red to copper to green to gold with added fuchsia shreds and gold shimmer.
Unchained Melody had a smooth and even formula, and its flakes were high in density and lied flat.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Will you be picking any of these up? Let me know, and thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Lauren
