Hello! In this post I’ll be sharing a Clue-inspired collab featuring BCB Lacquers, Geekish Glitter Lacquer, and Swamp Gloss. The three polishes combine to tell the story of a mystery crime, and trio will go on sale for $36 plus shipping on the A Game of Clue Collab site (or the BCB Lacquers site) from January 14 at 6pm ET to January 21 at 11pm ET.
I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into it! Be sure to combine the “clues” to solve the mystery!
BCB Lacquers: It Was Plum
It Was Plum is described as a purple magnetic polish with purple/blue/red flakies, purple flakes and a purple/red shifting shimmer.
It Was Plum had a slightly patchy first coat, and the magnetic affect is more on the subtle side. The magnetized line does appear a lot more prominent in person than in photos, and I recommend going for thicker coats to maximize the magnetic effect.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Swamp Gloss: With the Knife
With The Knife is described as a white toned crelly with red and black glitters.
With The Knife had a milky base, and its glitters come out easily. I recommend building the polish up in thinner coats and then using a thick final coat.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Geekish Glitter Lacquer: In The Library
In The Library is described as a nude crelly base with red-gold-green shifting shimmer and gold-silver UCC flakies.
In The Library had a smooth and creamy formula, and was even and self-leveling. It is less of a green-ish yellow than in photos, and the shimmer is more prominent in person.
Shown is two coat plus glossy top coat.
Did you solve the mystery? Let me know if you’ll be getting these polishes, and thank you for reading!
XOXO,
Lauren
