Hello! Today I’ll be sharing an exciting thermal trio alongside BCB Lacquers’ November gemstone polish.
The Coraline Trio is a thermal trio that will go live on the BCB Lacquers site on October 22 at 6pm ET, and will retail $13 individually or $36 as a set. Also releasing at that time is the November gemstone polish, Topaz, which will be available for $12.
I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into it!
Coraline Trio
The Stone
The Stone is described as a thermal changing from green (cold) to teal (warm) with green/blue/pink/purple shifting iridescent flakes and holo.
The Stone had a slightly thicker formula, and had the most sheer base in the trio. All flakes in the polish come out evenly, even the bigger ones, and I also thought that the transition in this polish was more subtle compared to the others in the trio.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat in the warm state, and then the cold state.
The Door
The Door is described as a thermal changing from purple (cold) to blue (warm) with green/pink/orange/gold/purple/blue shifting iridescent flakes and holo.
The Door also had a slightly thicker formula, and the polish dried glossy which was interesting for a thermal. This polish is so reactive to temperature, I had a hard time staying in the cold state when I was taking swatch photos.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat in the warm state, and then the cold state.
The Other Mother
The Other Mother is described as a thermal changing from black (cold) to grey (warm) with purple/blue/green/pink/orange shifting iridescent flakes and holo.
This one was probably my favorite in the trio – I absolutely adored the warm state. Like the others in this trio the base in this polish is slightly sheer, but the thermal is very reactive and the flakes lie even and flat when applying.

Topaz
Topaz is described as an amber jelly with orange/red/gold shifting iridescent flakes, gun metal flakes, orange holo hex glitters, orange/copper shimmer and a touch of holo.
Topaz is meant to double as a topper, but I only used it on its own. The formula is smooth and definitely applies jelly-like. There’s a good mix of glitters and flakes and shimmer that balance well.

Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Lauren
