*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*
Hello! Today I have a fun holo collection and gorgeous shimmer polish to share with you today. I’m featuring Cupcake Polish, a new-to-my-blog brand that’s been in the indie polish scene for quite some time.
The Fun Fall Holos collection will be releasing on October 25th at noon CT on the Cupcake Polish website. All polishes will be sold individually for $13, and will also be available alongside their Keratoconus Awareness 2021 polish. Keratoconus is a degenerative eye disease that Sara, the maker and founder of Cupcake Polish, is affected by, and 50% of proceeds from the sale of this polish in the month of November will be donated to the Dry Eye Foundation.
I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into the fun stuff!
Fun Fall Holos Collection
Thankful
Thankful is described as a brick red linear holographic polish.
Across the board, all of the polishes in this collection had super buttery smooth formulas that dried a bit flat. Comparatively, Thankful leaned a bit more on the less opaque side, but it was still perfect at two coats.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
PSL & Everything Nice
PSL & Everything Nice is described as a burnt orange linear holographic polish.
Another amazing formula – super smooth and easy to work with.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
It’s Fall Yall
It’s Fall Yall is described as a mustard yellow linear holographic polish.
This polish was pretty close to being a one-coater, and again, had a super smooth formula.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Hot Girl Fall
Hot Girl Fall is described as an emerald green linear holographic polish.
Hot Girl Fall was such a rich and gorgeous polish – it’s definitely more rich in person than in my photos. The application was very smooth and easy to work with, and quite opaque too.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Sweater Weather
Sweater Weather is described as a dark denim blue linear holographic polish.
Same formula comments as above – smooth, easy to work with, and dries a bit dull.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Spooky Season
Spooky Season is described as an indigo purple linear holographic polish.
Compared to the other polishes in this collection Spooky Season was the least opaque on the first coat. The polish is also a bit more purple leaning than in my photos, but overall the polish did have the same smooth formula as the rest of the collection.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Keratoconus Awareness Polish
Keratoconus Awareness 2021
Keratoconus Awareness 2021 is described as a ruby red nail polish filled with pink/green/gold shifting iridescent aurora shimmers.
This polish was absolutely stunning – the shifts are unreal and so gorgeous. The formula was smooth, in a different way than the holos were since this polish is shimmer based, but still easy to work with nonetheless.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
I hope you pick up some of these fall-perfect shades! Thanks for reading.
XOXO,
Lauren
