Cuticula: Flakie Wonderland Collection

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! I’m catching up on a bunch of indie collection release posts today, so this is one of many that you’ll be able to read through. In this post, I’ll be sharing Cuticula’s Flakie Wonderland collection, which will be re-releasing on January 21 at 8am Arizona time.

The ‘Flakie Wonderland Collection’ is a carefully crafted 9 piece Winter inspired set full of flakes, flakes, and more flakes in all colors, sizes, shapes, and finishes. Polishes will be available on the Cuticula site for $13 individually or $110 for the full collection of 9 polishes.

All polishes were swatched using Cuticula’s Limitless top coat.

I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into it!

Warm Mugs & Snugs

Warm Mugs & Snugs is described as a purply pink silver holographic flakes base with red/black/green ultra chrome shifting flakes, and orange/yellow and gold shifting glass flakes.

Warm Mugs & Snugs had a smooth and even formula, and was dense in flakes.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Blankets & Chill

Blankets & Chill is described as a soft grey crelly full of rose gold metallic flakes.

Blankets & Chill had a smooth and even formula that was squish jelly-like. It felt like the grey sister to Unwind, a previous PPU polish.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Chai There

Chai There is described as a super subtle soft pink tinted silver holographic flakes base with metallic rose gold flakes, and red/black/green ultra chrome shifting flakes.

Chai There could be a dense topper if you go lighter in application. I had some visible nail line at two coats so went for three.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

For Goodness Flake

For Goodness Flake is described as a blue tinted silver holographic flake base full of yellow/gold and orange/gold shifting glass flakes.

For Goodness Flake had a smooth and even, slightly lighter formula with flakes that were flat and dense. I had the slightest shadow of nail line at two coats so did three, but two slightly thicker coats should also be enough for full opacity.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Don’t Flurry Be Happy

Don’t Flurry, Be Happy is described as a silver holographic flake base jam packed with blue/purple shifting shimmer, and yellow/gold shifting glass flakes.

Don’t Flurry Be Happy also had a smooth and even formula. Its flakes were dense and flat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Light Show

Light Show is described as a silver holographic flakes base full of black matte flakes and purple metallic flakes.

Light Show could be a dense topper if you go lighter in application. Its flakes are dense and flat, and it felt like a dark purple sister polish to Chai There. Like Chai There, I had a slight shadow of nail line at two coats so went for three.

Shown is three coats plus top coat.

Freeze The Day

Freeze The Day is described as a bright aqua jelly base with green, silver, and blue metallic flakes.

Freeze The Day had a smooth formula, and its flakes were dense and even.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Icicles

Icicles is described as a bright blue base with blue/purple shifting shimmer, and silver holographic flakes.

Icicles had a smooth and even formula, and I recommend going for medium coats to build up opacity.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Wintertide

Wintertide is described as a dusty blurple base with purple/blue shifting shimmer, red/black/green ultra chrome shifting flakes, red/black small flakes, and silver holographic flakes.

Wintertide had a slightly lighter formula that was smooth and even. Like all the other polishes in this collection, its flakes lied flat and were dense in the polish.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Will you be picking up any of these winter-perfect polishes? Let me know, and thank you for reading!

XOXO,

Lauren
