Hello! In this post I’ll be sharing the latest release from Dainty Digits Lacquer, as well as a couple extras! All of the polishes shown here are available for purchase on the Dainty Digits Lacquer site, and retail for $11.
Let’s get into it!
Nail Polish Has No Gender Collection
Afterglow
Afterglow is described as a white linear holo.
Afterglow had a smooth and even formula that self-leveled well. It was also very opaque.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Love is Love
Love is Love is described as a glitter bomb with hearts, stars, kisses, butterflies, hexes, squares, slices, and more.
Love is Love would be quite hard to layer on its own, but it did apply nice and evenly as a topper. The bigger glitters do come out easily but some of the special shapes do need to be fished out a bit since it’s also in a thicker base.
Shown is one coat over a pink creme skittle, topped with a glitter grabbing top coat and glossy top coat.
Promise Ring
Promise Ring is described as a dainty pink jelly with diamond shimmer, reflective glitters & various sized platinum flakes.
Promise Ring had a smooth and even formula with flakes that came out easily.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
You Matter
You Matter is described as a violet base with deep sapphire blue holo glitters.
You Matter had a smooth jelly base that could probably sponge on for quicker opacity. I had some light/patchy spots at two coats so I went for three. The base was also thick and squishy enough that I didn’t need a glitter grabbing top coat.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Butterflies
Butterflies is described as having the same violet base as You Matter, but with intense, deep red micro glitters.
Butterflies definitely applied just like You Matter did. Butterflies had a sheer jelly base and slightly thicker formula overall, and again a few patchy spots at two coats so I went for three.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Heart Breaker
Heart Breaker is described as a black linear holo.
Heart Breaker had a super opaque and smooth formula, and it could have been a one coater if you went for a slightly thicker/medium coat. Two coats gives a more plump look but there was no opacity change.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
Thank a Mailman Day
Not All Heroes Wear Capes… Some Drive Mail Trucks
Not All Heroes Wear Capes… Some Drive Mail Trucks is described as a white crelly with violet to blue to green UCC flakes.
Not All Heroes Wear Capes… Some Drive Mail Trucks had a lighter crelly formula, and its flakes were dense and even. I had some lighter spots at two coats so I went for three.
Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.
Custom Polishes
Southern Sunset & Shores
Southern Sunset & Shores is a custom done for a friend of the makers in Mississippi. It is inspired by Mississippi sunsets.
Southern Sunset & Shores had a smooth and even formula. It self-leveled well, dried with almost a foil-like finish, and had no brush strokes once dry.
Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.
That’s it for this set! Dainty Digits Lacquer was a new-to-me brand, and overall I’ve been quite impressed with the formulas and opacities for all of these polishes. Let me know if you’ll be getting any of these polishes, and thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Lauren
