Dam Nail Polish: Jewelry Box Holos

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! Today I’m here with a stunning set of holos from Dam Nail Polish. The Jewelry Box holos are a six piece holographic set inspired by jewelry metals, stones, and gemstones. The collection was originally available for preorder during their Black Friday sale, but is officially releasing on December 17 at noon ET. Polishes will be available on the Dam Nail Polish website.

Let’s get into the swatches!

Rose Gold

Rose Gold is described as a rose gold linear holographic polish.

Rose Gold was practically a one coater – very smooth and opaque. I did two coats to thicken the polish layers, but the opacity didn’t change on the second coat. Most brush strokes disappeared as the polish dried.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Copper

Copper is described as a copper linear holographic polish.

Copper was also practically a one coater, like Rose Gold. Again, I did two coats to thicken the polish, and this one dried a bit on the flat side so I recommend pairing it with a glossy top coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Gold

Gold is described as a gold linear holographic polish.

Gold was quite opaque and smooth in formula. Its brush strokes were a bit more visible than the others, and it also had a more pearly finish than the others (which resulted in brush strokes being a bit more visible, comparatively). Gold also dried a bit flat, so I recommend top coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Blue Akoya Pearl

Blue Akoya Pearl is described as a pale wintry blue linear holographic polish.

Blue Akoya Pearl had an opaque and smooth formula. Like Gold, Blue Akoya Pearl was comparatively a bit more pearly in finish, and also dried a bit flat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Lavender Jade

Lavender Jade is described as a soft lavender linear holographic polish.

Lavender Jade had a formula just like the others in the collection – smooth and opaque, and self-leveling.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Silver

Silver is described as a silver linear holographic polish.

Silver had a smooth and even formula. This one could have been a one coater with a slightly thicker coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Across the board, I was super impressed with the formulas and how opaque all of the colors were, especially given that they were lighter colors. I’ll definitely be doing some nail art with these in the end of winter and into spring. Thanks for reading!

XOXO,

Lauren
