Jen & Berries: Winter in Sunnydale Collection

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! I’m still catching up on all of the Black Friday collection posts that I need to do, and this is one of them! I’m super excited to be sharing the latest collection for Jen & Berries, the Winter in Sunnydale collection.

The Winter in Sunnydale collection is a five piece collection inspired by the Buffy episode, “Amends”. This collection will launch on the Jen & Berries site on November 26 at midnight MT, alongside the start of their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. You’ll get 30% off all regularly priced items with the code ‘bf2021’, as well as a free mystery polish for the first 25 orders over $35.

The Winter in Sunnydale collection will retail $45 for the full set during this sale window, and then will go up to $54 for the set afterwards. I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into it!

Snowfall in Sunnydale

Snowfall in Sunnydale is described as a white crelly with a mix of white and holographic flakies that sparkles like the first snowfall in Sunnydale.

Snowfall in Sunnydale had a smooth and even formula. I had the slightest shadow of visible nail line at two coats, so I went for three.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Snowfall in Sunnydale will retail for $11.50.

Trouble Sleeping

Trouble Sleeping is described as a mulberry polish with fine pink to gold shifting pigment, white and gunmetal microflakies. It is inspired by Buffy & Angel’s shared dreams.

Trouble Sleeping had a smooth, even, and self-leveling formula. The polish was also quite opaque in the first coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Trouble Sleeping will retail for $11.

The Holiday Blues

The Holiday Blues is described as a semi-sheer cerulean blue base with strong teal to bold blue shimmer. It has the illusion of opacity in some angles. It is inspired by Willow remarking that maybe Angel had “the holiday blues”.

The Holiday Blues had a very smooth formula with no brush strokes showing once dry. It had a slightly thin leaning formula, and I also had the slightest shadow of visible nail line at two coats. The polish glows teal/green/blue, but that’s unfortunately not well reflected in my swatch photos.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

The Holiday Blues will retail for $12.50.

This Is Why We Brought You Back

This Is Why We Brought You Back is described as a bold purple polish with holographic microflakies and a bold violet shimmer when viewed straight on. It is inspired by the first telling Angel why it brought him back from the dead.

This Is Why We Brought You Back had a light jelly formula, and was smooth and self-leveling. I recommend going in for medium/thin coats and building it up, as it got much deeper at three coats. The polish dries glossy and leans a lot more purple like its description.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

This Is Why We Brought You Back will retail for $12.50.

The First

The First is described as a black linear holographic with black/red/gold multichrome shimmer. It is inspired by The First evil, as well as the red dress Willow wore when she attempted to woo Oz to be her “first”.

The First had a smooth, jelly-like formula with strong holo. Its red/gold shift is also a lot more notable in person.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

The First will retail for $12.50.

The Polish Nook Exclusive: Black & Blue Friday

In addition to the polishes getting released on the Jen & Berries site, Jen & Berries is also partnering with The Polish Nook to create an extremely limited Black Friday exclusive polish!

Black & Blue Friday is described as a silver linear holographic that’s packed with a mix of black and blue microglitter. You’ll want to visit thepolishnook.com early on Black Friday because only ten of these will be available!

Black & Blue Friday had a smooth and evenly dense formula. It could maybe double as a topper as well.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

I hope you pick some of these beauties up – Jen & Berries is one of my personal favorite brands! Thanks for reading.

XOXO,

Lauren
