*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! It’s that time of the month again – April Polish Pickup is right around the corner! This month’s PPU will be open for preorder on the Polish Pickup site from April 1-4, and the theme is the Periodic Table of Elements.

Polish Pickup is a monthly indie collaborative shop where makers offer limited edition items, typically nail polish, inspired by a central theme.

I have 14 polishes and 4 IPU items to share with you today, so let’s get into it!

BCB Lacquers: Up & Atom

Radium Girls is described as a very pale (almost white) green filled with gold/red/green aurora shimmer that glows green in the dark. It is inspired by Radium.

Radium Girls had a smooth and even formula that dries gritty. The glow from this polish is really strong, but you do need a blurring base if you want to achieve full opacity.

Don’t Pee in the Pool had a smooth and even formula with glitters that came out dense and evenly mixed. I recommend going for slightly thicker coats to deepen the base with two coats or do three normal coats. The polish is more teal leaning in person than in photos.

Shown is three coats plus a glitter grabbing top coat, followed by glossy top coat in normal studio lighting and then with flash.

Don’t Pee in the Pool will be available for $13 with a cap of 300.

Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.

Glisten & Glow: Glitter Grabber

Glisten & Glow brings us their popular Glitter Grabber for IPU this month. Glitter Grabber is an amazing product that gets applied after any
glitter or flakie dense manicure is done and it’s fully dry and before your top coat. It aids in creating a smoother surface for your top coat or matte top coat all while “grabbing” that extra texture!

I have a few collages that show the difference between having and not having one coat of Glitter Grabber.

Glitter Grabber will be available for $8 with no cap. The glitter crelly in my photos is Glisten & Glow’s Mummy of the Year.

Jen & Berries: Unobtanium

Unobtanium is described as a charcoal crelly with silver/blue shifting shimmer and packed with holographic flakes. It is inspired by its namesake.

Crushed Emerald will be available for $13 with no cap.

Red Eyed Lacquer: A Little Hard To Come By

The salts in this jar are easy to scoop up, and honestly smell delicious. They’re super relaxing for your body, and it feels very much like an easy way to give yourself some self care. Highly recommend!

Fizzy Salty Bath Milk in Blue My Bread will be in jars of 8oz, available for $7 with a cap of 50.

Rogue Lacquer: Rhodium & Roses

Rhodium & Roses is described as a silvery base with intense pink to green and gold shifting shimmer, holo and platinum reflective glitters. It is inspired by Rhodium, which occurs in platinum, and rose-toned jewelry.

Rhodium & Roses had a smooth and even formula that was self-leveling and quite opaque. This polish was stunning – a standout for me this month.

Shown is two coats plus a glitter grabbing top coat, followed by glossy top coat in normal studio lighting and then with flash.

Rhodium & Roses will be available for $12.50 with no cap.

Wildflower Lacquer: Stolen Flame

Stolen Flame is described as a deep violet jelly base packed with blue to violet crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. It is inspired by

Stolen Flame had a thicker formula because of all the flakes, although it was very opaque and deep. If you do a slightly thicker coat, it could be a one coater.

The polish comes with a stain warning, so I recommend pairing it with a good base coat.

Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.

Stolen Flame will be available for $13 with no cap.

There’s such a fun variety of polishes this month – something for everyone! Let me know which ones you’re eyeing, and thanks for reading!
