Rogue Lacquer: Sweet Dreams Collection

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! I’m a bit late with this post, but I have swatches of the Sweet Dreams collection from Rogue Lacquer, as well as an extra creme polish and topper! All of these polishes are available now on the Rogue Lacquer site.

The Sweet Dreams collection will be available for $11 individually or $50 as a set. Pom Pom’s, the topper, will be available for $9 and Charred, the creme, will be available for $10.

Let’s get into it!

Sweet Dreams Collection

Strawberry Shackin

Strawberry Shackin is described as a pastel pink crelly with black flakes.

Strawberry Shackin had a smooth and even formula, with a base that was opaque and flakes that were high in density.

Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat. Across the board, the polish doesn’t dried textured enough to warrant a glitter smoothing top coat (although some may prefer to use one), but didn’t fully smooth over after one coat.

Lemon Drop

Lemon Drop is described as a pale yellow crelly with black flakes.

Lemon Drop had a similarly smooth and even formula with dense flakes.

Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.

Minty Chocy Chip

Minty Chocy Chip is described as a pastel minty green crelly with black flakes.

Minty Chocy Chip had a smooth and even formula, with flakes that were dense. It was comparatively more jelly-like in formula.

Shown is three coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.

Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster is described as a pastel blue crelly with black flakes.

Cookie Monster had a smooth and even formula that was also comparatively jelly-like.

Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.

Grape Clouds

Grape Clouds is described as a pastel purple crelly with black flakes.

Grape Clouds had a smooth and even formula with flakes that were dense.

Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.

Charred

Charred is described as a deep gray creme.

Charred had a super smooth and creamy formula. I did two coats because I went for medium-thin coats, but if you did a thicker coat you could definitely get away with one coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Pom Pom’s

Pom Pom’s is described as a lime charetruse flake topper.

Pom Pom’s had a smooth and even formula. You could probably build this one up to full opacity in three coats, but I think it would still leave some visible nail line and have spots that peek through.

Shown is one coat over Charred.

I’m in love with the color story for the Sweet Dreams collection – so perfect for spring! Let me know which ones you’ll be picking up (or have picked up already!), and thanks for reading.

XOXO,

Lauren
