Wildflower Lacquer: 5th Indieversary Collection & March Polished Flick

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! Today I am super excited and honored to share with you the 5th Indiversary Collection from Wildflower Lacquer! Congrats to Wildflower for turning 5🥳🥳.

The 5th Indieversary collection will be releasing on February 28 at noon CT on the Wildflower Lacquer site. Polishes will retail for $13 each or $75 for the full set. The March Polished Flick (limited edition) will also be available at this time for $13.

Nothing from this release is restocking, and any overpour will be listed in November. I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into it!

5th Indieversary Collection

Reverie

Reverie is described as a very pale pink base with pinkish red to gold shifting shimmer. Reverie is defined as a state of dreamy meditation or fanciful musing.

Reverie had a smooth and slightly thicker shimmer formula. It’s very pale and sheer, so you would need to pair this with a blurring base coat for full opacity.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Ikigai

Ikigai is described as a mauve base with pink to gold to green shifting shimmer and scattered holographic flakes. Ikigai is defined as a Japanese concept that literally translates to “a reason for being”; ‘a reason to get up in the morning’ to enjoy the meaning of life – passion, purpose, or something one lives for.

Ikigai had a smooth, even, and self-leveling formula. It dried flat so I would recommend pairing it with a glossy top coat.

If I had to create a dream polish, it would be this one! All of my favorite elements and my favorite kind of base color in one💓

Halcyon

Halcyon is described as a dusty peach base with red to gold to green shifting shimmer. Halcyon is defined as calm and peaceful; happy, prosperous.

Halcyon had a smooth and slightly thicker shimmer formula.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Ailyak

Ailyak is described as a smoky base with green to aqua to blue shifting shimmer with linear holo and holo flakes. Ailyak is defined as the subtle art of doing everything calmly and without rushing, whilst enjoying the experience and life in general.

Ailyak had a smooth and even formula. It self-leveled well and dried flat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Mudita

Mudita is described as a violet tinted jelly base packed with pink to purple to orange crystal flakes, copper to gold crystal flakes, scattered purple, and gold holographic glitter, and linear holo. Mudita is defined as the act of delighting in the happiness of others.

Mudita had a smooth and dense formula, with its flakes lying flat and even. Two coats was fine for opacity overall, but I did have a slight shadow of nail line so I went for three coats.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat, and then with matte top coat.

Resplendent

Resplendent is described as a deep fuchsia base with gold to green to blue shifting shimmer, even shifting to pink at some angles. It is a sibling to ‘Is That An Ascot?’. Resplendent is defined as having brilliant or glowing appearance; dazzling and impressive in appearance through being richly colorful or sumptuous.

Resplendent had a very smooth and even formula. It dries flat, so again, I’d recommend pairing it with a glossy top coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Fall in Love Whenever You Can

Fall in Love Whenever You Can is described as a blackened navy base with aqua to purple to pink to gold shifting multichrome shimmer. It is inspired by Practical Magic.

Fall in Love Whenever You Can had an incredibly opaque formula – it was a one coater. The formula is smooth and even, and the polish dries flat. You could do two coats like I did for a thicker appearance, but one coat is perfectly fine for opacity. I would be wary of staining with this polish since it’s so heavily pigmented.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

So many gorgeous beauties to choose from, and I know I’ll be getting a backup bottle of a few of these! Let me know what you’ll be picking up, and thanks for reading!

XOXO,

Lauren
