Wildflower Lacquer: Happy Little Polishes Collection & Alzheimer’s Awareness 2021

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! Today I’m here with the upcoming Wildflower Lacquer September releases, which features a five piece collection inspired by Bob Ross and their annual Alzheimer’s Awareness polish.

As per usual, Wildflower will have their latest polishes available for unlimited preorder on their site, along with limited quantity restocks of older polishes. The preorder window will be open from September 9 at noon CT to September 13 at 11:59pm CT.

Pricing wise, the Happy Little Polishes collection will retail for $13 individually or discounted to $62.50 as a set. Sewn With Love, the Alzheimer’s Awareness polish, will retail for $13 and $5 of every bottle sold will be donated to pearlsmemorybabies.com.

I think that’s it for the details, so let’s get into the swatches!

Happy Little Polishes Collection

Happy Little Trees

Happy Little Trees is described as a shimmery green to blue to purple shifting base with scattered holo flakes.

Happy Little Trees had a surprisingly opaque formula in two coats, but I still had the slightest bit of nail line at two coats so I went for three. The polish is very shifty, and has an easy to work with formula. I recommend going with slightly thicker coats for this polish so as not to have the shimmer be too sheer, and to lessen the amount of visible brush strokes.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Beauty is Everywhere

Beauty is Everywhere is described as a very soft cornflower blue base with strong pink to gold to green shifting shimmer.

Beauty is Everywhere had a similar formula to Happy Little Trees, also being surprisingly opaque in two coats but needing three for a small bit of nail line. The shift in this polish is insanely gorgeous – Beauty is Everywhere is probably my top pick from this set.

Be sure to swipe through the swatch carousel to see the shifts!

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Little Creatures

Little Creatures is described as a brown base with strong pink to orange to gold shifting shimmer, holo and scatted holo flakes.

Little Creatures applies slightly jelly-like, and is both easy to work with and good at self-leveling. The polish is yet another gorgeously shifty and sparkly Wildflower polish. It does dry a bit flat, so I recommend pairing it with a glossy top coat for best results.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

We Don’t Make Mistakes We Have Happy Accidents

We Don’t Make Mistakes We Have Happy Accidents is described as a navy jelly base packed with copper to gold shifting crystal flakes, gold to green crystal flakes, holographic flakes, and a subtle pink to orange to gold shifting shimmer.

The flakes in this polish lie flat and are evenly dispersed, which made it really easy to work with. This is another stunner from this collection – the flakes glow in indirect light, and the dark base compliments the flakes very well.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat, then with matte top coat.

Beat the Devil Out of It

Beat the Devil Out of It is described as a deep violet base with strong black to red multichrome shimmer and scattered holo flakes.

Beat the Devil Out of It had a jelly-like formula, again being a polish that is even and good at self-leveling. The base deepens very fast, and I didn’t have any visible brush strokes once the polish dried.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Alzheimer’s Awareness 2021

Sewn With Love

Sewn With Love is described as a deep maroon base with strong purple to red to orange multichrome shimmer and scattered holo. It is inspired by a photo of Taylor’s, the maker’s, grandmother in a dress that she made.

Sewn With Love had an absolutely amazing formula – it was literally a one coater that was incredibly opaque and smooth. The formula is very holo-y, and the slightly thin-leaning formula was very easy to work with. I still did a second coat to deepen the color a bit, and I do recommend using a glossy top coat since the polish dries a bit flat.

I was worried about staining from this polish since the base is really opaque, but I didn’t have staining when I paired this polish with a latex peel off base coat even after one full day.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat, plus a bonus nail art look that I couldn’t resist doing with the polish name and inspo.

Will you be picking any of these beauties up? Let me know, and thanks for reading!

XOXO,

Lauren
