Bees Knees Lacquer: The Witcher Mysteries

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free with additional compensation in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Note: Spoilers ahead!

Hello! I have swatches of the five mysteries that are available for purchase with Bees Knees Lacquer’s the Witcher collection. These five shades are available now on the Bees Knees Lacquer site for preorder.

Let’s get into it! If you don’t want any spoilers, you’ll want to click out now.

Forget The Bottle

Forget the Bottle is a light reflective glitter mystery. This is a red to green pastel multichrome full of gold reflective glitter).

Forget the Bottle had a smooth and even formula, but it does dry very flat and gritty due to its micro-glitter like formula. The opacity was not bad at two coats but there was some visible nail line so I went for three.

I would be wary of staining with this polish as I had some light (pink overall) staining when I wore this polish on my cindy hand (even with one coat of base coat).

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat, first in studio lighting and then with flash.

Forget the Bottle is available for $13.

You Need a Nap!

You Need a Nap! is a shimmer mystery polish described as the navy sister to Red Tide. This is a dark navy with pink to green shimmer.

You Need a Nap! had a very smooth and even formula.

I would be wary of staining with this polish as well, as it kind of felt like it stained a bit even with a layer of base coat. When I wear this one again, I’ll be doubling up on base coat.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

You Need a Nap! is available for $13.50.

Forgive Me

Forgive Me is a shimmer mystery. This is a dusty rose with aqua to pink shimmer.

Forgive Me had a smooth and even formula. It was quite sheer in the beginning, but it built up well in three coats.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Forgive Me is available for $13.50.

Monsters and Money

Monsters and Money is a shimmer mystery. This is a smoky blue full of gold to green shimmer.

Monsters and Money had a smooth and even but very sheer formula. You will probably need a blurring base coat to achieve full opacity in some lightings.

This polish stained a lot for me (the pink overall kind of stain, not the dotted stains), so I would definitely pair this with a layer of base coat or two.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Monsters and Money is available for $13.50.

Legacy

Legacy is a shimmer mystery. This is a rich violet with bright cobalt to purple shimmer, and it is advised to pair with a base coat as it may cause staining.

Legacy had a super opaque, smooth, and even formula. This polish really glows from within – it could have been a one coater but I did two for a more plump look. I swear, this polish is even more vibrant and rich in person.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

Legacy is available for $13.

The mysteries from this round were absolute winners in my book – I hope you’re able to pick some of them up! Thanks for reading.

XOXO,

Lauren
