Hello! Today I’m excited to present to you the Summer Dreamin’ collection by Different Dimension, releasing Friday, June 11 at 9pm EDT on the Different Dimension site. This collection is releasing alongside the Good Vibes collection, and consists of two holographic polishes and two toppers.
All polishes will retail for $10, and the full collection will be available at a discounted price. Let’s get into it!
Summer Solstice
Summer Solstice is described as a soft buff creme based linear holographic polish with added green to gold to orange color shifting aurora shimmers.
Summer Solstice had a great formula – it leans a bit on the thicker side, but it’s also quite opaque. I wasn’t super great at capturing the shimmers, but it is a gorgeously delicate polish in person.
My swatches show two coats plus glossy top coat. If you went with thinner coats you might need three, but I also thought two was fine.
Pink Moon
Pink Moon is described as a dusty light pink creme based linear holographic polish with gold to green to orange aurora shimmers.
Pink Moon and Summer Solstice seemed to have the same formula – slightly thicker, but also more opaque because of it. I thought this was a gorgeous, soft polish – it’s appropriate for a lot of occasions and seasons, and I think I was a little bit better at capturing the shift here.
My swatches show two coats plus glossy top coat.
Daydreamin’
Daydreamin’ is described as a clear based topper loaded with orange to green to gold color shifting aurora shimmers, holographic micro-flakies, and added black and white micro-glitters.
When I first saw this polish I didn’t think it was a topper, but rather a normal polish. This polish can be worn either way – my swatches show it in both solo and topper mode. Regardless of how you wear it, the shimmer in it is absolutely stunning. It’s very eye-catching, and I think the black and white glitters compliment it really well. This was an unexpected favorite out of the collection for me!
Shown is one coat over light grey (index), one coat over black (middle), and two coats on its own (middle, pinky) plus glossy top coat. I would recommend a glitter grabbing top coat or thicker top coat.
Gold Rush
Gold Rush is described as a gold flakie topper.
Gold Rush is one of those classic toppers that everyone needs in their collection. It isn’t dense enough to be worn on its own, but it does elegantly spruce up any polish that it’s worn over. The flakes lie nice and flat when applied.
My swatches show one coat over a light grey, black, muted teal, and muted pink with glossy top coat.
To recap, the Summer Dreamin’ collection will go live on the Different Dimension site at 9pm ET on June 11. Polishes will retail $10 each, or at a discounted price when purchased as a collection. The Good Vibes collection will also be available with this release.
Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Lauren
