Hella Handmade Creations: August 2021

*Disclosure: Press samples- I received these polishes for free, some with additional compensation, in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! It’s that time of the month where Hella Handmade Creations is coming up for sale again. HHC is a monthly collaborative shop where makers contribute a product (usually polish) that follows a theme of their choosing. Makers will release polishes that follow the same theme for multiple months, and then move on to choosing a new unique theme of their own. The shop is open for preorder from the 14th to the 21st of every month. You can visit their website to shop here.

I have four polishes to share with you today, but be sure to check out the HHC website to see tons of other polishes and goodies that will be available to shop.

Bees Knees Lacquer: Where’s the Gift Shop

Where’s the Gift Shop is described as a deep turquoise with black to red multichrome shimmer and holo flakes. It is inspired by the time Zak got annoyed with Aaron for prioritizing going to the gift shop, and is part of their Ghost Adventurers series.

Where’s the Gift Shop had a smooth and easily buildable formula. The black to red multichrome shimmer is much more apparent in person – I tried to capture it a bit in later swatch photos. It’s definitely interesting to see this shimmer in a non-black base!

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Where’s the Gift Shop will retail for $12.50 with no cap.

Different Dimension: I’m Flawed; We All Are

I’m Flawed, We All Are is described as a violet holographic polish loaded with orange to green to gold color shifting aurora shimmer. It is the next polish in their Grey’s Anatomy series.

I‘m Flawed, We All Are had a great formula – smooth and easy to work with. With a slightly thicker coat and nail bed with less visible nail line, I think some could get away with only using one coat of this polish.

Shown is two coats with and without glossy top coat. Top coat adds a bit more vibrancy to the polish, but it does dry glossy and pretty without top coat.

I’m Flawed, We All Are will retail for $12 with no cap.

Lilypad Lacquer: Free Spirit

Free Spirit is described as a neon orange base filled with iridescent flakies. It is the next polish in their Color Therapy series.

Free Spirit had a smooth formula, and it’s quite the bright neon jelly. It’s not densely packed with flakes, but the flakes do layer well. I had a pretty visible nail line at two coats.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Free Spirit will retail for $14 with no cap.

Nailed It: I Suggest We Form A Calming Circle

I Suggest We Form A Calming Circle is described as a blackened blue base with a strong purple/violet shimmer, pinky red magnetic pigment, and holo flakies. It is part of their Hocus Pocus series.

I Suggest We Form A Calming Circle was super opaque on first coat – it was practically a one coater if you decide you want the unmagnetized version of the polish. The magnetic part of the polish was quite easy to work with, and I think the lines contrast well with the dark base.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

I Suggest We Form A Calming Circle will retail for $13 with a cap of 200.

Thanks for reading, and happy shopping!

XOXO,

Lauren
