Hello! Today I have a new to me brand to share with you today – Adored Colors. I have their latest Astutes collection to review today, and I’m a little late with posting this review so the collection is already available! The Astutes Collection retails for $20 as a set or $11 individually on the Adored Colors website.
Let’s get into the swatches!
Smart Cookie
Smart Cookie is described as a nude brown filled with black microglitter.
Smart Cookie had a pretty smooth and self leveling formula. The formula is a bit on the thinner side, but the glitters do come out evenly and decently densely. The glitters are small enough that you don’t need a glitter grabbing top coat, but I do recommend a thicker coat of top coat.
Shown is two coats plus two coats of glossy top coat.
Wise Owl
Wise Owl is described as a blackened base filled with crystal chameleon flakes that shift violet/red/purple/orange with a slight gold shimmer.
Wise Owl was a little bit patchy on the first coat, but that was probably because I went it a little bit too thin. I recommend going in with slightly thicker coats, as the base color builds up better and the flakes disperse better. I used three coats for the nails where I went a little too thin in the beginning to fill in a few lighter spots.
Shown is two to three coats with glossy top coat.
