Polish Pickup: National Parks & Landmarks (May 2022)

Hello! This post is mega mega late so we’re going to be breezing through the polishes so that it can hopefully be useful to at least one person. Let’s get into it – Polish Pickup is only open for a few more hours this month!

BCB Lacquers: Phenomenon

Phenomenon is described as a dark purple polish with a multicolor shifting magnetic pull, pink/gold shifting shimmer and holo flakes. Inspired by Aurora Borealis.

This polish is probably one of the prettiest if not the prettiest magnetic I have ever seen. You can pretty much see every color of the rainbow in some shift, and the shifts are stunning in person.

Shown is two coats plus glossy top coat.

BCB Lacquers: Whipped Sugar Scrub in Night Spark

Night Spark Whipped Sugar Scrub is an earthy scented scrub with notes of citrus and fruits.

Night Spark is available for $9.50 with a cap of 75.

Bees Knees Lacquer

Ride Together, Die Together is described as a black-based purple to red to gold multichrome with gold light reflective glitter. It is inspired by Pimon and Tumba from the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve in Borderlands.

Ride Together, Die Together had a smooth and even formula that dried gritty. I recommend going for medium/thicker coats.

Cupcake Polish: The Big Bend

The Big Bend is described as a navy blue nail polish with gold to green multichrome shimmer and a hint of silver reflective glitter. It is inspired by The Big Bend, a location famous for being able to see the Milky Way.

The Big Bend had a smooth and even formula.

Shown is two coats plus a glitter smoothing top coat, followed by glossy top coat.

Cuticula: Belle Nuit

Belle Nuit is described as a black jelly base with yellow/gold and orange/gold glass flakes and silver reflective glitter. It is inspired by the Eiffel Tower and means beautiful night.

Belle Nuit had a smooth and even formula that dried gritty.

Dreamland Lacquer: Firefall

Firefall is described as a black jelly base filled with black holographic glitter, gold reflective glitter, and a strong coppery orange to forest green shift. It is inspired by Horsetail Falls in Yosemite.

Firefall had a smooth but very gritty-drying formula. I would recommend going for thicker coats to build this one up.

Glisten & Glow: Northern Lights at Acadia

Northern Lights at Acadia is described as a reflective glitter polish loaded with flashes of blue, purple, green and silver. It is inspired by Acadia National Park.

Northern Lights at Acadia had an easy to work with microglitter formula.

Shown is three coats plus a glitter smoothing top coat, followed by glossy top coat.

Glisten & Glow: Cuticle Remover in Calm Seas

Calm Seas is described as a mild aroma of the salty sea with a clean fresh vibe. It is inspired by the coastal waters which surround Acadia National Park in Maine.

Jen & Berries: Rave Venue

Rave Venue is described as a deepened red base with red/gold shifty shimmer, orange/yellow chrome flakies, red/orange/gold crystal flakies and splashes of black/red and holographic microflakies.

Rave Venue had a smooth and even formula.

Kathleen & Co: Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms is described as a spring green base with added glowy pink shimmer and holo flecks. It is inspired by DC cherry blossoms.

Cherry Blossoms had a smooth and even formula that dried flat. If you go for slightly thicker coats, you can definitely avoid the visible nail line altogether.

Lilypad Lacquer: Pink Lake

Pink lake is described as a crystal pink tinted base filled with crystal chameleon flakes and a scattering of holo shards. It is inspired by the Pink Lake in Western Australia.

Pink Lake had a sheer jelly formula with flakes that were medium in density.

Nailed It: Lava At First Sight

Lava At First Sight is described as a deep violet base packed with copper/gold/green crystal flakies, & red/gold crystal flakes. It is inspired by the Hawaii Volcano National Park.

Lava At First Sight had a smooth formula with flakes that were flat and highly dense.

Shown is three coats plus glossy top coat.

Paint it Pretty: Own the Sky

Own the Sky is described as a light purple polish packed with shimmer that shifts from pink to copper to green. It is inspired by The Wheel in Orlando, Florida.

Own the Sky had a smooth and even formula that was quite sheer so could double as a topper over other pinks/purples.

Polished for Days: Glacier Skies

Glacier Skies is described as a periwinkle base with aqua-pink-purple shifting shimmer and silver reflective micro glitter. It is inspired by Glacier National Park.

Glacier Skies had a smooth and dense formula. It dries very gritty and the pink shifts in this polish are a lot more apparent in person.

Red Eyed Lacquer: DC Blooming

DC Blooming is described as a mauve-pink jelly with orange/gold and purple/pink glass flakes. It is inspired by DC cherry blossoms.

DC Blooming had a smooth and self-leveling jelly base. The flakes are flat and even.

Rogue Lacquer: Purple Mountain Majesty

Purple Mountain Majesty is described as a turquoise based crelly with metallic purple flakes. It is inspired by the grand Tetons in Wyoming.

Purple Mountain Majesty had a smooth and even formula.

Wildflower Lacquer: Arctic Passage

Arctic Passage is described as a deep cyan blue base with purple to pink to orange shifting shimmer, magnetic holographic pigment, and scattered holo flakes. It is inspired by Dollywood at Christmastime.

Arctic Passage had a smooth and even formula that was quite opaque. The magnetic is a bit more on the subtle side.

Zombie Claw Polish: Hanging Lake

Hanging Lake is described as a deep lake blue feel with green-gold flakes and silver reflective glitter. It is inspired by Hanging Tree Lake in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Hanging Lake had a dense and opaque formula that was slightly thicker due to all the elements. It applies easily and dries gritty.
