Rogue Lacquer: Firework Flashback Collection

*Disclosure: Press samples – I received these polishes for free in exchange for swatch photography. All reviews and opinions are my own.*

Hello! I’m a couple days late with this post (hopefully the last one I’m behind on!) but I’m here with swatches of the latest collection from Rogue Lacquer, which is available now!

The Firework Flashback collection is currently available on the Rogue Lacquer site for $12 individually or $44 for the quad. It consists of four magnetic and reflective polishes inspired by fireworks.

Unfortunately, I did not realize these polishes were magnetic until after I swatched them. All of my photos show the polishes unmagnetized, but plenty of other swatchers magnetized their swatches and you can see them in the polish listings.

Let’s get into it!

Crackling Cauldron

Crackling Cauldron is described as a red holo magnetic reflective glitter polish.

Crackling Cauldron was practically a one coater microglitter that was really dense and opaque. It dries really gritty and has a thick formula – all of the polishes in this set had the same formula, and were incredibly opaque in the first coat.

If I were in a rush, I would definitely be satisfied with one slightly thick coat.

Shown is two coats plus a glitter grabbing top coat, followed by glossy top coat, first in normal studio lighting and then with flash.

Flash Cracker

Flash Cracker is described as a gold holo magnetic reflective glitter polish.

Flash Cracker had a really dense and opaque formula that also dried really gritty. It has a slightly thicker formula that almost drags when you pick up the brush and glide it against the side of the bottle neck. For this polish and all the others in this collection, I recommend going for slightly thicker coats and larger strokes.

Super Charged

Super Charged is described as a blue holo magnetic reflective glitter polish.

Super Charged had a smooth but thick and dense formula. It again dries really gritty, and I recommend going for thicker coats.

Flying Saucer

Flying Saucer is described as a silver holo magnetic reflective glitter polish.

Flying Saucer had a very dense and opaque formula. It was smooth to apply but did have a thick and heavy formula. This one was probably my favorite – I’m a huge sucker for silver reflectives and this one was absolutely jaw-dropping in sparkle.

This collection is absolutely blinding in sparkle, and I’m here for it! Let me know which ones caught your eye, and thanks for reading!

XOXO,

Lauren
